About the Work: Translucency, shadows and form can best experienced when all working in unison. Helen loves the changing seasons and what they do to familiar views. Her Scandinavian background influences this fascination with the elements and optimising light qualities, she has lived in Oslo and Stockholm during her life but not for as long as her decades in the UK where she was born. The dual heritage is in her DNA and these works carry the qualities of someone who doesn’t live in a busy capital city, but one who connects with a softer landscape.
