About the Work: In taking porcelain to the wall, Helen transforms a three-dimensional material into what she terms 2.5D. The portal, or circular form, often recurs in her language as an artist, an opening to drift from the everyday into the subconscious. Her wall works invite this quiet escape. The longer we look, the more what we think we know begins to shift. It’s not disconnection, but a merging of self and world. As with her sculptural objects, Helen plays with scale, movement, and material presence, grounding her practice in the immediacy of the moment.
